Welcome to the Penn Yan Middle School Library!

The Penn Yan Middle School Library program is committed to preparing our students to be informed, productive, and concerned citizens in an information‐ driven society. We encourage students to continue learning throughout their lives, to become ethical users of information and supporters of intellectual freedom, to develop an appreciation for literature and a love of reading. We help them acquire the necessary critical thinking strategies and evaluative skills to do so.

Mrs. Pamela Simmons
Libraries allow children to ask questions about the world and find the answers.  And the wonderful thing is that once a child learns to use a library, the doors to learning are always open.
- Laura Bush
Signing Books out of the Library
Although the library is closed, students may still sign books out of the library.  To request a book, please log into your Destiny account and place a hold on the books you would like to sign out.  Books will be delivered to Pod classrooms at least once per day.
Quarantining books: To help prevent the spread of COVID, all books will be placed in quarantine for 72 hours upon being returned.  This may delay the delivery of books placed on hold.
