Frequently Asked Questions

How many books can I sign out of the Library and how long can I keep them?  Students are able to sign 3 books out of the Library.  The loan period is 3 weeks.  If you are not finished reading your book at the end of the loan period, stop in and ask to have your book renewed.

When can I come to the Library? Students may sign out of a Work Period to come to the Library.  There are 2 different passes to the Library from work periods.  If you only want to exchange books, you will get a blue 10 minute book pass.  This pass will allow you time to come up and get a book and then return to your work period.  If you want to come to the Library for the entire period you will sign out on the white pass.  If you come for the period you will be expected to work for the entire period.

What can I do in the Library? The Library is a place where you can work on class assignments, study and read.  You are welcome to use your Chromebook or one of our desktop computers.  The library is also where your Chromebook prints to, so it is a good place to be if you need to print.

Are you a teacher? Thanks for asking! Yes, a Librarian is a certified teacher.  I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business/Economic Management and a Master's Degree in Information and Library Science.

Help! I forgot my password, what do I do? We all forget our password once and awhile.  If you need a password reset, see Mrs. Simmons or one of the Technology Helpers and they will get your password reset.

My Chromebook doesn't seem to be working, what should I do? The Technology Troubleshooting Team is the first place to bring Chromebook issues.  Their desk is located in the Maker Space.  If no one is available at the help desk, you may ask Mrs. Simmons.

I am confused with Google Classroom and other google products.  Can anyone help me? Of course!  Our Technology Troubleshooting Team are here to help!!  These students are experts at Google and Chromebooks and will be happy to help you.  If no one is on duty, leave them a note and they will get in touch with you to set up a time to help you.

I don't like to read, but I know the expectation is to have a free reading book, what should I do?  If you think you don't like to read, you haven't found the right book yet!  Luckily Mrs. Simmons and the Library Leaders are experts at helping students find great books.  Ask for suggestions, check out the book displays and keep trying until you find the type of book you LOVE!

If you have a question that isn't listed here, let Mrs. Simmons know.  She will answer it for you and post it here to help other students who may have the same question.
